Creation of VLITEX and development of the first prototypes of technical textiles.

ACTS, the Magna Steyr Group's competence centre, successfully tests the suitability of the VLITEX Premium M fire blanket in the case of a battery fire.

The VLITEX Premium M fire blanket is the first product on the market to be certified for use on battery fires.

We establish VLITEX Nordic AB, based in Sweden. This will enable us to operate even more effectively in the modern Scandinavian markets. The environment and, above all, e-mobility are issues that are extremely important here.

Partnership with Riester GmbH. Our VLITEX Premium M fire blanket will now be used in Ecell-guard, the first fully automatic fire protection system for car parks.

Our certifications

Kiwa

Exposure and resistance tests of the blanket at temperatures of 1000°C (short duration).

Magna

Exposure and resistance tests of the blanket on electric car battery fires for 3 hours at peak temperatures up to 1300°C.

STFI

Mechanical resistance: the blanket can be handled, used without breaking after constant temperatures of 750°C for 30min.

ADAC

Exposure and resistance tests of the Kit Car Service Set on an electric vehicle fire with thermal runaway.
